Housing & Stabilization Programs

Building lasting stability through integrated housing, support services, and community connection

About Our Housing & Stabilization Programs

Practice of Peace Foundation understands that housing alone is not enough—stability is what sustains it.

We develop and operate housing and shelter programs designed not only to provide immediate safety, but to strengthen the internal capacity individuals and families need to rebuild their lives and move forward with confidence.

Rooted in decades of lived experience and guided by Health Realization, Appreciative Inquiry, and learning organization principles, our model integrates housing, behavioral health, workforce readiness, physical health and community connection into a single, coordinated system of care.

Today, Practice of Peace operates nine transitional housing programs, alongside stabilization services, digital access hubs, and workforce development initiatives—supporting individuals and families as they move from crisis to long-term independence.

More Than Housing

We are not just a housing provider. We are a housing and stabilization organization operating at the intersection of housing, workforce, education, mental health and community systems—building the capacity people need to sustain progress over time.

Practice of Peace integrates Health Realization as a core behavioral health strategy—building emotional resilience, clarity, and stability from within. When clinical care is needed, we partner with primary care and behavioral health providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated support without over-medicalizing the path to recovery.
